At Glasgow Handyman Solutions, every job is priced fairly according to the work involved. Before accepting a booking, we will discuss the job with you and provide a clear quote wherever possible.

Handyman jobs can vary considerably depending on the property, access, wall construction, required fixings and the condition of existing fittings. For that reason, we do not advertise unrealistic fixed prices that may not apply to your particular job.

How Our Prices Are Calculated

Your quote may take into account:

• The type and complexity of the work
• The estimated time required
• The number of items being installed or repaired
• Wall construction, including plasterboard, brick, concrete and lath-and-plaster
• The size and weight of items being fitted
• Access, ceiling height and working conditions
• Specialist fixings, parts or materials required
• Parking charges where applicable
• Travel outside our normal Glasgow and Paisley service area

You will be advised of the agreed labour price and any expected additional costs before work begins.

Fixed-Price Handyman Quotes

Most jobs are quoted at a fixed price rather than using a one-size-fits-all hourly rate. This gives you a clear idea of the cost before confirming your booking.

We provide individual quotes for services including:

Materials and Additional Costs

Materials, replacement parts and specialist fixings are charged separately unless they are specifically included within your quote.

We will explain any anticipated material costs in advance. If unexpected work or additional materials are required after the job begins, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.

Parking charges may be added where free or suitable parking is unavailable. Any applicable travel charge for work further afield will also be agreed before the booking.

No Misleading Headline Prices

A ceiling pulley fitted into a modern plasterboard ceiling is not necessarily the same job as installing one into a high Glasgow tenement ceiling with old lath-and-plaster construction. The same applies to televisions, mirrors, curtain poles, shower screens and other installations.

Our quotes reflect the actual job, the correct fixings and the experience required to complete it safely and professionally. We will never advertise an unrealistically low price and then increase it after arriving.

Payment

Payment is due when the agreed work has been completed unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.

Workmanship Guarantee

Our workmanship is covered by a 12-month guarantee, subject to our Terms and Conditions. This covers faults arising directly from the installation or work we have completed. It does not cover product failures, pre-existing defects, misuse, movement within the property or work altered by another person.
